About My Therapeutic Approach
I am an Expressive Arts Therapist in Training, a Brainspotting Therapist, and a Nervous System RESET Practitioner. My practice is dedicated to supporting clients as they process and release anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, PTSD, and strong emotions. I integrate the arts and Brainspotting techniques to facilitate deep healing and personal growth.
How I Support Clients
Expressive Arts Therapy: I use creative modalities such as visual arts, movement, music, and writing to help clients explore and express their inner experiences.
Brainspotting: This powerful, brain-based therapy helps clients access, process, and release emotional and physical pain by identifying and focusing on specific eye positions that correlate with unprocessed trauma.
Somatic Exercises & Sensory Exploration: I guide clients through body-based practices and sensory activities to help them learn how to regulate their nervous system, fostering resilience and self-awareness.
My Therapeutic Values
Compassionate & Empathetic Presence: I approach every session with warmth, understanding, and genuine care, ensuring clients feel seen and heard.
Relational Focus: Building a trusting, collaborative relationship is at the heart of my work. I strive to create a safe space where clients feel comfortable sharing their life experiences.
Client-Centered: Each session is tailored to the unique needs and goals of the individual, honoring their pace and preferences.
What to Expect in a Session

Why I Offer This Work
My Personal Journey
I offer this work because I experienced a profound transformation in my own life. For a long time, I was living in survival mode, shaped by unresolved trauma. I realized that I did not feel safe in the world or even in my own body. This awareness was a turning point for me.
The Power of Nervous System Regulation
Through learning how to regulate my nervous system and discharge the trauma I had been carrying, I discovered a new sense of safety and well-being. This process was not just healing—it was life-changing. It allowed me to move beyond survival and truly thrive.
Commitment to Helping Others
Inspired by my own transformation, I felt called to support others on a similar path. I dedicated myself to studying these methods so I could guide people through their own healing journeys. My goal is to help others:
Feel safe in their bodies
Experience a sense of security in the world
Move from surviving to thriving
My Mission
I offer this work because I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, whole, and empowered. By sharing what I have learned and supporting others, I hope to create a ripple effect of healing and transformation.

My ideal client is anyone ready to commit to this slow, transformative process so they can learn how to regulate their nervous system and transform how they feel in their body and how they show up in the world.
I began seeing clients in 2001.
Our first session together is our intake session. This session is 1 hour long. Learn more here: https://www.LisaCipparone.ca/
I always suggest clients schedule 1 hour for our time together, however sometimes the appointments are less than this as we allow your body and its threshold of enough to guide our sessions.
Please contact Lisa directly to book an appointment. Thank you! Lisa@LisaCipparone.ca
